What’s in a name?
A Village is a place where no one feels isolated or alone
Our Covenant is our heritage as a biblical, compassionate & missional community
Our Church is the gathering of those who share joyfully in the Christian journey
Village Covenant Church may be a small church, but it is full of big hearts!
For more than 55 years, residents in the Glendora, Azusa, and Covina areas and beyond have been meeting at Barranca and Gladstone at the crossroads of these three communities. This corner is our place to worship, fellowship, and reach out to the neighborhood community, and renew our spirits continuously. We invite you to be a part of our village community. Please visit the “Worship” tab for more information on our weekly services.
WHAT IS IT LIKE AT VILLAGE?
At VCC we believe the way we treat each other reflects our relationship with Christ. We believe we are called to love each other as Christ has loved us and to keep the unity of the Spirit though the bond of peace. At all times, God expects us to express kindness in thought and conduct.
With God’s help and Jesus as our example, we promise to:
•Behave with humility
•Listen in order to understand each other
•Speak directly with honesty and ignore hearsay
•Disagree respectfully when we don’t see eye to eye
•Forgive without limits
•Release hurt completely
•Be in constant prayer for one another
•And love each other with uncommon affection
Even when we fail to live by these principles, we will still choose to believe the best about each other. We are committed to being inconvenienced for the sake of the Gospel, to the glory of God, the blessing of his Church, and the advancement of his Kingdom in the world.
