Food Bank: Fridays 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
God has supplied us with food from the L.A. Food Bank (EFAP/USDA) and Dovetail Ministries.
Village regards the Food Bank as an important outreach in the surrounding community.
About the Food Bank
The Village Food Bank provides food to local families and individuals on a limited basis. Basic foods in the form of canned and packaged goods are provided; beans, rice, juice, eggs, cheese, and meat are sometimes included. A one-time toiletry pack for women, families, or babies includes many necessary items.
E.F.A.P. and Dovetail are once a month for local residents, for up to six continuous months. Someone with emergency needs for food from the surrounding neighborhoods (Glendora, San Dimas, etc.) can get E.F.A.P. one time only and will be provided with a list of food banks in their area.
The Food Bank is located in the Fellowship Hall. Park in the eastern parking lot; there will be signs pointing the way.
Required to Receive Food
One family member per valid Azusa address may pick up food. Bring your picture ID and a current bill with your name and address.
From the Director
“Thank you to the volunteers for the VCC Food Bank. We serve a large area and our numbers have skyrocketed. We are constantly filling and unloading vehicles with the food in order to serve those in need. My estimation of the amount of food we brought in and passed out is over 150,000 pounds for last year. Without each volunteers help, this ministry would not work.”
– Linda Brown, Director of the Food Bank
