The Cove Mexico Missions Trip

The Cove Youth Group is going on a mission trip to Mexico. They will leave on Friday, April 7, for a weekend working with Mexican children and youth at Una Salida, which is a home for troubled youth. They will return on Sunday, April 9. If you are a youth or you have a youth that is interested in going, please speak with Tim Kim for details. You can email our youth ministry leader, Tim Kim, with any questions.

Additionally, the Village youth ministry is welcoming donations for this trip. Any and all donations will go toward The Cove’s time with Una Salida.

Easter Morning at Village

Easter Breakfast – Worship Celebration – Choir – Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Morning at Village Covenant Church will be a beautiful and sacred gathering!! The church family Easter Breakfast in Fireside and the Courtyard, will be served beginning at 9:30 am. Come to enjoy a casual meal with your brothers and sisters at VCC! Worship begins at 10:45 as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and God’s gifts of love, hope, and life for us all. The Annual Easter Egg Hunt for our children begins immediately following worship!

An Easter Sunday Choir is gathering! If you enjoy singing and want to join the Choir for Easter, come to two rehearsals at 9 am on April 9 and April 16!! If you have any questions about the Choir, please contact Gabe Rowe or Pastor Laurie.

Congregational Business Meeting this Sunday

This Sunday, March 26, we will hold our Congregational Business Meeting to vote on the proposed Constitution and Bylaws and select a Nominating Committee. Get your Picture Taken for the Church Directory

Bob Demers will be taking pictures for the new church directory over the next three Sundays. If you don’t have a picture for the directory, or if you would like to update your picture, please be sure to come to church and speak to Bob to have him take your picture.

Additionally, a draft of the church directory will be posted online and available as a hard copy in the foyer within the next week. We will notify our members when it is available, so please be expecting our announcement so you may verify that all your information is current and up to date.

Bridal Shower for Amanda Younkers

On Sunday, April 2nd, at 1:00 PM Lauren, Cassie, and Bekah will be throwing a Bridal Shower for Amanda Younkers, who will be marrying Alec Shoffeitt.
  • All Village women are invited to attend and to bring a dish for the potluck lunch.
  • The shower will be at Victoria Ward’s home. Contact any of the hostesses for directions.

Spring Forward this Saturday!

Don’t forget to set your clocks forward by one hour this Saturday night, March 11, for Daylight Saving Time! The time change officially occurs at 2:00 AM on March 12 when clocks should be set forward by one hour to 3:00 AM.

This Sunday at Village, Wake Up Breakfast, classes, and worship will proceed at their regular times, so plan to get to bed early to compensate for the time change if you need it 🙂
